"World of Final Fantasy" promised that they will tweak the game's graphics to fit for PlayStation 4 Pro through enhancement patch even before the console hit the road. Now here is the setback, it appears that alleged PS4 Pro patch of this game is a broken down version of predecessor PlayStation 4 which looks better and crispier.
Reddit "World of Final Fantasy" forum is also replete with discussions about graphics quality when patch 1.01 was installed on PlayStation 4 Pro. Though most of the reports are leaning toward smudgy appearance, other players are not so pleased when they described pixelated looks as well. Of course, PS4 Pro images are still discernable but it lacks the cleaner lines of the original version.
Uninstalling this PlayStation 4 Pro patch 1.01 is another tricky business because it means deleting the game. For now, this is the only known fix against this visual problem. GearNuke also confirmed that blurry appearance disappeared and visuals reverted into previous state after purging "World of Final Fantasy" patch 1.01.
Meanwhile, players also suspect that a miscommunication stemmed from "World of Final Fantasy" announcement that they will support PlayStation 4 Pro. Remember that this newest Sony console have recently launched and coincided with "World of Final Fantasy" patch 1.01. One possibility is that patch 1.01 is not really intended for PS4 Pro but for its predecessor instead. If so, the game will theoretically get riddled with visual bugs because of disparity in visual setup.
Given the above premise, Square Enix is possibly still on the move chasing "World of Final Fantasy" graphics setting to attune PS4 Pro. At any rate, the final piece of the puzzle to solve this blurry problem resides with the developer. Players may be short of saying that update 1.01 is useless for new hardware but at least it made a glimpse of PS4 Pro scenario for the benefit of Square Enix.
