One of the most popular and beloved shows to ever air in Disney Channel, "Girl Meets World" is still waiting for the announcement from the network if the renewal of the 4th season will be confirmed or not.
Disney's silence does not do well for both the cast and crew who are also hinting that the current season is already the "Girl Meets World's" last. Despite cancellation rumors, avid fans of the sitcom have stayed positive that Disney will renew the series for the fourth chapter.
According to a source, the series' antecedent, "Boy Meets World", is speculated to be getting a renewal from the network, and because of this, it has been assumed that Girl Meets World could also possibly get a renewal. The current season of the series will air until 2017, and the announcement of the sequel would be announced by then. Customarily, the plot of the new season is unveiled before the current season comes to an end. Hence, there is still hope left for the sitcom.

However, there are rumours about the series tackling on a new plot will be introduced on a different network. The maturation of the cast may have caused them to outgrow their characters in "Girls Meets World" and may be inappropriate for a show made to featuring children's lives.

There are discussions that the series, "Girl Meets World" will be aired on Freeform, a subsidiary of Disney, or on Netflix. The modified plot may pave way for the discussion of the issues focusing on the lives of the girls as they enter puberty.
'Girl Meets World' casts still hopeful for the 4th season
"Girl Meets World" main cast, Rowan Blanchard portraying as of Riley Matthews, and Sabrina Carpenter portraying as Maya Hart, are reported to have acknowledged their retreat from the show soon because of maturity but at the same time they are still hopeful that the show will have its fourth season.
"We are hoping for a season 4, obviously, because we want to continue our story, and I feel like it's an important story to tell," Blanchard said.
