"Hawaii Five - 0" Season 7 has been on the roll since its premiere in September 23 this year. Now currently in the middle of the season, it is being considered for a season 8 renewal although the date is not yet fixed for its air date
It was revealed by TVLine that "Hawaii Five-0" garnered an amazingly high viewership of 9.8 million for episode 8 titled "Rite of Passage". Looking back, Danny (Scott Caan) went to a school dance with Grace (Teilor Grubbs). The event ended up a mess when a group of al-Qaeda terrorists stormed the event to capture Jeremy Ramos (Max Tepper), a classmate of Will (Chosen Jacobs).
With the big turn-out of fans for "Hawaii Five-0" Season 7, the show runner Peter Lenkov is confident for the show to continue airing for season 8. The next episode of the series will be shown on November 18 with its title "Two Days in November".

According to TVguide, while "Hawaii Five-0" is still up in the ratings chart, its main actor Alex O'Loughlin who is playing as Steve McGarrett is leaving the show after season 8. It was Loughlin himself who shared that season 8 will be his last appearance of the series.

On the other hand, Peter Lenkov did not seem to take the issue of Alex's departure as a concern. "Hawaii Five-0" is a remarkable show with interesting casts to brag about. Even without Alex, the show has a great amount of storylines for the casts that are waiting to be unwrapped season by season.
"Hawaii Five-0" Season 7 will pack up for the Winter break after episode 9. It will come back in 2017 for the remaining episodes to complete the full order of CBS. Alex O' Loughlin has not revealed his reason for leaving the show.
