"The Originals" Season 4 is rumored to be cancelled in lieu of a new spinoff of the series. Moreover, reports claim that the show has been getting low ratings recently. However, if the upcoming season continues, Klaroline is said to be reunited for the show.
"The Originals" series creator Julie Plec reportedly hinted at the possibly of a new spinoff series in The CW. However, Plec reportedly hopes that this will not affect the fourth season of the show. It should be noted that "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 has already been cancelled and the show's ratings has reportedly not been so good, Silver Times reported.
In the meantime, the Season 4 spoilers of "The Originals" have reportedly teased the possible addition of some vampires from the Mystic Falls to come to New Orleans. The cancellation of "The Vampire Diaries" is said to have saved "The Originals". Moreover, a spin-off drama series based on "The Vampire Diaries" universe is also said to be in the works. Apparently, Plec noted that The CW has reportedly encouraged her to go for a spin-off drama series. Either the recently cancelled show will be shadowed in the show that remains or another series will be seen on The CW network.
Meanwhile, "The Originals" may feature a Klaroline get-together. However, Caroline recently got engaged. Her boyfriend Stefan proposed to her in Episode 2 of Season 8 of "The Vampire Diaries. On the other hand, Caroline is rumored to join Klaus in New Orleans in Season 4.
"The Originals" Season 4 may reunite Klaus and Caroline and get the chance to rekindle their romance. Previously, in Season 3, Klaus has lost his love, Cami. This is said to open up Klaus' heart for Carolina. Moreover, Sybil is also rumored to sabotage the marriage of Caroline and Stefan.
