"WWE 2K17" now have its Goldberg DLC and those who pre-ordered the game can have it for free while the rest need to buy it. There are still lots of missing wrestler superstars on the roster but just like Goldberg, they might be added in the future through more downloadable contents.
On Nov. 8, via a press release, 2K Games announced the release of "WWE 2K17" Goldberg DLC. The content was released in preparation for the upcoming Survivor series where Goldberg is expected to have a match with Brock Lesnar.
Fans were excited for the DLC but some were protesting because the "WWE 2K17" Goldberg DLC was originally offered as an incentive only for those who ordered the game ahead of its release. And now, 2K Games is putting it up for sale for $4.99 and they find this unfair.
"WWE 2K17" Season Pass holders will also have to buy the Goldberg DLC Pack as 2K Games made it known that it is not free even to them. In addition, holders of Season Passes also need to purchase the WWE legend's pack for Xbox One and PS4 if they want it.
Although the set-up may not really be fair, nothing can be done with it anymore so players just have to follow. In any case, players who will get the "WWE 2K17" Goldberg DLC will also get two versions: the WWE and WCW versions of Goldberg.
The inclusions in the "WWE 2K17" Goldberg DLC is not that many but 2K Games said that sales of the game will pick up since Goldberg also returned to the actual WWE on TV. His return is expected to boost the game's popularity aside from the sales.
Meanwhile, the "WWE 2K17" is out and versions for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One and Xbox 360 are available now. The Goldberg DLC Pack is the game's first ever add-on and more are likely to come in the future.
