"Battleborn" is still going pretty strong after a while of being released. 2K Games and its developer Gearbox have just released new DLC for the FPS/MOBA hybrid, which includes the game's 30th hero and some brand new stories for players to experience.
GameSpot reports that the main draw for this particular "Battleborn" update is the new story "Toby's Friendship Raid." Those with the "Battleborn" Season Pass are free to download it today; it pretty much revolves around getting back Toby's mech suit.
On top of "Toby's Friendship Raid," 2K also introduced "Battleborn" 30th hero, Beatrix. Beatrix is pretty much a neat freak on overdrive. Her right arm has been replaced with a prosthetic syringe-arm that injects diseases and debuffs on other characters. It seems as though she'll be some sort of support or specialist hero in the game.
Beatrix won't be available in "Battleborn" for another couple of months as Gearbox gets her ready for play, but when she does come, players will be able to get her for 47,500 credits. Season Pass holders get a free hero key to unlock her.
2K has big things planned for "Battleborn," it seems. First are three more DLC expansions for the game, as Gearbox wants to keep producing new content for the game.
The last time it got a lot of DLC was last month, when it got new stories and a new Face-Off multiplayer mode. Another would be a free-to-play multiplayer mode, which may be the first step leading to a completely free-to-play model for "Battleborn."
However, Gearbox's CEO said that any rumors about "Battleborn" going free are not true, according to another report about the issue.
Stay tuned for more updates on when 2K releases "Battleborn" DLC with Beatrix and more story operations.
