Nintendo in the past months has been growing its revenue with the success of "Pokemon Go". But recently, the Japanese company has announced that their gaming console, Nintendo Wii U will have a massive hold in its production.
Nintendo Wii U No Longer Be In Production
Nintendo posted on their official Japanese website stating that all Nintendo Wii U hardware will now be available only in North America in this fiscal year. The statement further states that if anyone wishes to purchase a Nintendo Wii U, consumers will have to communicate with their preferred retail outlet.
Last week, Eurogamer reported that Nintendo Wii U will have its final roll out within this month. However, Nintendo denied the said report stating there is no change in the Nintendo Wii U production.
The Nintendo spokesperson retorted that the end of Nintendo Wii U production is a false. The Nintendo spokesperson added that even though the Nintendo Switch is preparing to be release, the Nintendo Wii U is still on production and is still scheduled to continue.
With that in mind, the Nintendo Switch will be released in 2017 and it's only a matter of time until the Nintendo Wii U be decommissioned. As of today, the only version left available in the Japanese website's Wii U hardware is the Nintendo Wii U 32GB white Premium set.
No new official games are release for the Nintendo Wii U and the Nintendo Switch is still set to launch in 2017 along with "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" as a part of a dual release for Nintendo. For more Nintendo Wii U news and update stay tuned to Gamenguide!
