The next batch of "Rainbow Six Siege" DLC has been rumored for a while now, and word had already gone around that it was going to be Japanese-themed thanks to a leak. There's no need to wait any longer now, as publisher Ubisoft has finally revealed the full details of Red Crow, the new map coming to the game.
Red Crow is arriving to "Rainbow Six Siege" as early as next week, November 17, reports Eurogamer. After leaks, players already know that the game will feature two new Japanese operators in a Yakuza skyscraper map set in Nagoya, Japan.
GameSpot confirms that the defending operator, Echo, has a special ability that involves the use of a drone. What Hibana -- the attacking operator -- has for her special ability in the new "Rainbow Six Siege" DLC, isn't known yet.
Both Operators are specialized in close quarter combat, are both equipped with the SuperNova; Echo also has the MP5SD4, while Hibana has the Type-89. UbiSoft has also announced what it calls new gameplay features coming with the "Rainbow Six Siege" update, but exactly what those are is still unsure.
Meanwhile, those with the "Rainbow Six Siege" season pass will be able to get the new content on November 17, while regular players will get it a week after on November 24. As always, characters have to be unlocked using money-bought R6 Credits or Renown, which is earned in the game.
Ubisoft plans to go into full detail about Red Crow in a livestream at the Xbox and PC Pro League finals this weekend. The "Rainbow Six Siege" publisher will preview the two new Operators' gameplay in that livestream, after which a full demo featuring both will come on Monday, November 13.
On a related note, Ubisoft also reports that there are more than 10 million players playing "Rainbow Six Siege" as of right now. Stay tuned to GamenGuide for more news and updates.
