'Making a Murderer' Season 2 News and Updates: Similar Netflix Series 'Fauda' Coming to Streaming Service

After the hit Netflix TV show "Making a Murderer" made waves in the United States and other countries, the streaming service will soon offer another must-watch series from Israel. It is expected to start airing next month.

Netflix has just recently acquired the rights to air Israeli television series "Fauda" which has gathered positive reviews from many critics. It tells the story of Israeli defense forces which has formed a deep cover unit of operatives.

Hit Israeli TV show

Since its release in February last year, "Fauda" has become one of the most-watched TV shows on the Israeli network YES. It also bagged the best drama recognition in 2015 in the country's version of the Emmys.

The realistic situation presented on the show has been positively released by viewers. Undercover operatives pretending to be Arabs in order to capture fictional Hamas terrorist Abu Ahmed has made the viewing public more interested on "Fauda's" storyline.

Plot details

Written by Avi Issacharoff and Lior Raz, the show also portrays heroes who always fear of blowing their covers and gettinf caught. Time has taught these operatives the lesson of always moving as fast as they can.

"It's a dream come true," Issacharoff said as he expressed his gratitude to all the people who made the show possible. "Fauda" has only released one season of the show.

Air date

Beginning December 2, the Israeli TV show will start streaming on Netflix. A few days before its air date, a premiere event will be held in Los Angeles on November 28. Viewers of the streaming service are expected to welcome "Fauda" just like how they received "Making a Murderer."

"Making a Murderer" explores the real life of Steven Avery who was exonerated for rape and attempted murder but because of an alleged faulty and corrupt justice system in Wisconsin was jailed again for killing photographer. The Netflix documentary has long been debated in the United States because of the sensitivity of the case.
