'Making a Murderer’ Lawyers Found New Way To Prove Steven Avery’s Innocence

Season 2 of "Making a Murderer" could finally show Steven Avery to be proven innocent of the crimes charged against him. His lawyers claim that they have found a new scientific method to prove that he was not the person who killed Teresa Halbach.

According to reports, the "Making a Murderer" lawyers have consulted over 100 scientists to help them find a way to identify the date the blood evidence found in the victim's car. If they are able to scientifically prove that the blood is older than the car, make a whole new argument for the lawyers and may also mean a new trial for Steven Avery.

The lawyers said that there is a big chance they can prove his innocence with this evidence and it is likely that he can walk free. The only thing that's holding things from happening is if the Manitowoc Circuit Court will accept the new evidence and will be willing to open the case again.

Zellner first took Avery's case at the start of 2016, briefly after the "Making a Murderer" show premiered. Avery was determined to prove his innocence but unfortunately was still convicted of first-degree murder. He is sentenced to spend his whole life in prison without the chance of being given parole.

Two years before the conviction, Avery has just been released from jail after finishing an 18-year sentence for a crime he did not commit. Avery's nephew was also charged with the murder and was found guilty. His conviction was later on overturned and the lawyers were hopeful that the same will happen to Avery. The lawyers are confident with their evidence and excited to prove Avery's innocence.
