Here's a weird theory: there could be an evil Baymax in "Kingdom Hearts 3." Yay or nay? Fans of both Disney and the "Kingdom Hearts" game series have been pitching interesting additions for the upcoming installment. Odd as they come, they're all worth considering.
Announced at E3 2013, Square Enix's "Kingdom Hearts 3" had gamers make room in their geeky hearts (and brains) for another crazy Disney/Final Fantasy crossover game. Thing is, it won't be released until next year, when in fact, it has been way too long (10 years!) since the last game came out.
On the other side of the pond are "Big Hero 6" fans fervently praying for a sequel. This has been sort of granted after Disney announced in March that a TV series is in development. With the majority of the original cast signing up for the TV work, we're up for another adventurous ride in San Fransokyo. Now, how does "Kingdom Hearts 3" fit in, you might ask?
The confirmation actually surfaced last year at D23, in a video starring Roy Conli himself. "The story will take place after the events of the film," said the producer in the video. "Not only will this allow us to explore all new adventures focused on great action, but we'll also get to see Baymax again." So yes, "Kingdom Hearts 3" will actually get itself a Baymax.
The evil Baymax idea was perpetuated by a concept art from Shinji Hashimoto. In the illustrations, Sora is seen riding the original Baymax - in his cherry red armor - fighting another Baymax sporting a darker hued armor. The identity of the dark Baymax in "Kingdom Hearts 3" remains unknown. A thing that's sure, however, is that a "Big Hero 6" crossover is definitely going to happen.
Since "Kingdom Hearts 3" is still yet-to-be-unwrapped, we'll have to shift our focus on "2.8 Final Chapter Prologue," which is released on the 24th January 2017 for PS4. In the meantime, enjoy the video below.
