Microsoft's next-generation gaming console will be named Xbox Infinity, a new report states.
According to International Business Times, citing anonymous sources involved with the development of next Xbox, have told the publication that the next-gen console will be simply called Xbox Infinity. The insiders also revealed that development kits have already been made available to its software developer partners.
The new report comes closely on the heels of a leaked image recently appeared on the Reddit website, which showed a text referring to an Xbox Infinity. Prior to these developments, the console was labelled either Xbox 720, a natural successor of the name Xbox 360, or Durango, its alleged development codename.
Microsoft is expected to unveil the next Xbox console at its event on May 21. However, some recent rumors have it that some of the titles scheduled to arrive with its next-gen console may have been cancelled while others may be as much as six months behind schedule.
