He added that it was an embarrassing night due to how the America let a hatemonger lead his country. Pop singer Ariana Grande could not believe that Donald Trump is the new president. She even stated that she is 'utterly terrified. Grande added that she is crying due to the unprecedented result of the election.
Singer Cher posted that the world will never be the same and added that she is sad for the young people while Colbie Caillat stated that it is a very sad night for the world. Other celebrities expressed their fear for a Donald Trump presidency. Kelly Clarkson and India Arie stated that they are genuinely afraid of what is about to happen in their country. Cheyenne Jackson even said that Trump's victory is a 'true American Horror Story.'
Despite all the backlash, Donald Trump stated that he wants to unify the nation. In his victory speech, he stated that he wants to be a president for all the Americans. Although celebrities are lamenting on the Republican's victory, Hillary Clinton reportedly called Trump to congratulate him.
