Huawei Mate 9 Release Date, News & Update: Machine Learning Technology Ultimate Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Replacement Come December?

Huawei Mate 9 is rumored to replace the spot left by the Galaxy Note 7 issues. When Samsung stopped the production and selling of the troubled device, Huawei is reported to have taken advantage of the chance to put the new Mate 9 handset as the best replacement of the Note 7.

The new Huawei Mate 9 was officially unveiled during a special event held in Munich, where Consumer Business Group CEO Richard Yu reportedly took a jab at the Samsung Galaxy Note 7, claiming that Mate 9 does not explode. The CEO also confirmed that the upcoming handset will have two variants, with the standard variant coming with a 5.9-inch FHD display, along with a 1080p resolution. On the other hand, the Porsche-branded variant comes with a 5.5-inch QHD AMOLED display, with 1440 x 2560 pixels.

Huawei Mate 9 is also reported to sport a metal frame on the side.  As for the specs, the new smartphone will feature a matte metal finish on the rear, while the front will feature a curved 2.5 glass. There will be five different color options to choose from - Gold, Silver, Brown, Ceramic While and Space Gray. Reports also suggest that Mate 9 is equipped with a machine learning feature that learns the daily habits of the user over time, Value Walk reported.

Moreover, Huawei Mate 9 is reported to be the first phone of the company to come with its own Kirin 960 processor. The device will also have a 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. On the other hand, the Porsche-branded variant will have 6GB of RAM and 256GB storage.

In addition, Huawei Mate 9 will feature 400mAh battery supply, a USB Type-C charger, including Compass, G-Sensor, fingerprint sensor, Gyroscope sensor, Proximity sensor, Ambient Light Sensor, Hall Sensor, IR and Barometer. The regular variant will cost £630 to €699.

Huawei Mate 9 has no scheduled date of release yet, but rumors claim that the new handset will likely be sold next month. The Porsche-branded variant, on the other hand, is confirmed to begin selling in Europe in December, according to report. Watch video about Huawei Mate 9 Review - The Best Smartphone 2016 ?!
