The third installment of the Guillermo Del Toro and Chuck Hogan's horror television series recently concluded and fans are quickly treated with "The Strain" Season 4. However, this will be the last time that viewers can witness the gory-and-scary title as the coming chapter will be its final bow.
FX announced in September that along with "The Strain" Season 4 renewal is the vampire-apocalypse drama's swan song. "We sincerely thank Carlton Cuse, Guillermo del Toro, Chuck Hogan and their creative team, as well as the fantastic cast for three exciting seasons of 'The Strain,'" president of FX Networks original programming Nick Grad said.
"After finishing the writing on Season 3, Guillermo, Chuck and I looked at our remaining story and felt the best version could be told in one more season." With that, they all decided that "The Strain" Season 4 will be the story's final stretch, Den of Geek reported.
However, Grad promised that they have a great plan to make "The Strain" Season 4 "exciting and climactic." They, too, expressed their appreciation to their network, FX, for allowing them to end their show according to how they want it using their own time.
Meanwhile, in an interview with TVInsider, the show's executive producer Carlton Cuse also talked about the coming and last "The Strain" Season 4. In fact, he hinted that the show is about to reveal a big revelation as the previous season's finale will be connected to the new chapter.
Cuse revealed that Season 3' ending will make the viewers get ready for "The Strain" Season 4. However, he added that he is not going to tell anything how this big revelation will affect their audience.
But, Cuse continued to tease that "The Strain" Season 4 will be "massive and completely world-changing." He, too, continued to taunt that it will be "radically different." "The Strain" Season 4 is expected to be released in August or September 2017 on FX.
