Any "Fast and Furious" movie will not be complete without Paul Walker. With "Fast and Furious 8" geared to be released early next year, his character will once again appear, along with a new brother to be played by Scott Eastwood.
Cody Walker as His Brother?
"Fast and Furious 8" has already been set for an April 2017 release date. Paul Walker, who passed away in a car crash three years ago, will again be appearing in the movie. As is "Fast and Furious 7," his brother Cody Walker will be portraying Brian O'Conner. CGI technology will then be superimposed on his face to project the image of the deceased actor.
However, Cody Walker's participation is yet to be confirmed. Reports have stated that his name is still not included in the official cast lest of "Fast and Furious 8." There are reports saying that Cody Walker will either be acting as a stand in for Paul Walker or he's going to play Brian O'Conner's brother. As of yet, there are still no confirmed details regarding Paul Walker's appearance in "Fast and Furious 8."
New Characters to Bring New Surprises
Charlize Theron and Scott Eastwood have also been reported to be joining the cast of "Fast and Furious 8." Director F. Gary Gray was reported to have had some reasons for the cast shakeup. For Eastwood, it may be to portray Paul Walker's brother.
It is interesting to note that Scott Eastwood bears a lot of resemblance to the facial structure of Paul Walker. This might eventually lead to him playing the character's brother in "Fast and Furious 8."
This is not a farfetched idea though, as it has been reported that the major theme of "Fast and Furious 8" centers on brotherhood. There have also been reports saying that Eastwood is set to play a government operative who works with Mr. Nobody, portrayed by Kurt Russell. They will then be handing a new assignment to Dominic Torretto and his group.
For an interesting twist, Eastwood might be revealed as the long-lost brother of Brian O'Conner in "Fast and Furious 8. " This will definitely fill in the gap left by the deceased actor, while still honoring his storyline's conclusion.
