YouTube is now one of the most popular sites on the Web. It has visitors watching more than 6 billion hours or video every month. It's a free video sharing website that makes viewers watch ,upload and share videos online.
With the rising of the site, YouTube has just announces that it added HDR Technology to make videos more vibrant. It is getting a major quality update than it has done before with SDR Technology.
"A 4k SDR Technology has (approximately) 4000 lines of resolution but is not capable of displaying the depth and richness of colors and contrast as HDR. A 4k HDR Technology has the same 4000 lines of resolution but is physically capable of rendering an image with increased contrast and richer colors/separation.", Rogers Community Forum explained.

The major quality update is for YouTube to keep at the forefront of streaming and display technology as more video options like Netflix and Amazon Video has already offered HDR television program and films for months.
However, this isn't available to all viewers as it requires compatible screens to see improvements.
BBC also states that, HDR-encoded videos may look odd when played back in normal mode.
"There are also pretty much no computers with proper HDR support yet, and the only phone with official HDR implementation was the Galaxy Note 7- a phone no one can even buy anymore.",The Next Web added.
But to ensure those viewers without compatible displays, YouTube, by default, will play a Standard Dynamic version of a clip if necessary.
