Team Ninja’s previously teased Dead or Alive project is now a reality. The new game is called Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate and is scheduled for a release on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 this fall.
Although little is known about the game as of now, a recent report from Siliconera has a few additional details about Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate that also includes in-game content.
According to the report, there will be new additions to the game and one of the most important character additions include Momiji, from the popular hack-and-slash Ninja Gaiden franchise, as a playable character.
Fans who are not sure as to who this Ninja Gaiden character is, Momiji is Kureha's younger sister and Ryu Hayabusa's apprentice who first appeared in Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword.
There will be a new stage called Sky Tokyo, and the game will also feature content from the recent Dead or Alive 5 Plus – the PlayStation Vita port of the original title, released last year. So fans can expect new moves, customizable options and also the popular Touch Fight mode.
The Touch Fight mode allows players to make use of PS Vita’s touchscreen for attacking and executing combos from a first person perspective, and it is to be seen how that feature adds up to the console releases of the game in the recent future.
Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate is set to release in Japan this autumn.
