Further details were revealed last Friday's "Overwatch" Panel about their newest character, "Sombra", and her character design. Although her character doesn't pack a lot of damage, her weapon-- a machine pistol, has quite a large magazine for its size. On top of her ability to Hack other players' abilities and health packs, she can also hack Torbjorn's turrets. Although this skill does not control or damage them, it can temporarily shut them down, making it much easier to eliminate them.
"Sombra" is made to be an Opportunist. This allows her to know which enemy has health that is below 50 percent even through walls. Combining it with her Thermoptic Camo, allowing her to be invisible to her enemies for a short period of time-her combo is something to be reckoned with. "Sombra" has her own page on the "Overwatch" official website that shows her weapon and abilities. Thermoptic Camo lets her become invisible, providing her with additional movement speed. Hack can be used to temporarily halt enemy movement or even prevent enemies from using their health packs. Translocator skill lets her throw a beacon that she can instantly teleport to, even while the beacon is moving. Her greatest skill, EMP, releases a blast around her, destroying all barriers and shield within the attack circumference and even hacking nearby characters.
Blizzcon also rolled out a video clip recapping the actual launch of "Overwatch" during its opening ceremony. The video began with what seem to be technical issues, which only served as an introduction to "Sombra" together with Reaper, and Widowmaker infiltrating a highly classified facility.
The company has yet to show her complete gameplay abilities. However, the "Overwatch" video did show her going invisible, teleporting, and hacking the enemies, which may give the avid fans some hints as to what her character will be like. According to Blizzard CEO Mike Morhaime, he described "Sombra" as "stealthy and offensive" who has the ability to hack enemy abilities.
