Recent news from Capcom states that the gaming company is expecting to earn $4 Million upon releasing "Resident Evil 7" on 2017. The Japanese company also plans to achieve a long term goal for "Resident Evil 7" when it launches.
According to GameSpot, an English translation of Capcom's Q&A on the publication's post states that "Resident Evil" 7 will be a foundation title for them and should sell in an abundant level due to rise of digital distribution. Capcom also expects "Resident Evil 7" will still achieve sales in the next fiscal years to come.
If Capcom's prediction are correct, the gaming company could put "Resident Evil 6" sales a thing of the past, which only had $4.8 million of sales by the end of 2012. However, time will tell if "Resident Evil 7" can break the record of "Resident Evil 5" which earned $6.5 Million sales from the game's release in 2009 to 2013.
Meanwhile, Capcom also has other plans for their movie genre as "Resident Evil: The Final Chapter" will be the final movie for the franchise. However, Capcom also has the upcoming "Resident Evil: Vendetta" CG movie to be released in the same year as "The Final Chapter" and the Japanese company teased fans that more movies will be released in the future.
Recently, there were multiple trailers released for "Resident Evil 7" that fans can see for themselves as to what to expect in the latest installment of the game. "Resident Evil 7" is a horror suspense game that was introduced on the E3 back in June and will be out for the PS4, Xbox One, and on the PC.
