The Tesla Model 3 is definitely one of the most-awaited cars. Latest reports suggest that the electric vehicle will get an optional solar roof and also a new steering that will be compatible with the company's new car.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk has assured that the solar panel roofs won't be that expensive, reports Auto Blog. Thus, Telsa Model 3 buyers will be given an option of incorporating a solar roof panel on their Tesla Model 3s.
Musk had commented earlier that the Telsa Model 3 would incorporate the latest technology designed for the car and that would be a new type of glass. He has also pointed out that the insanely anticipated electric vehicle may sport a deployable solar shield just like a retractable hard top.
A new steering wheel is also in the works and Tesla Model 3 buyers will love it. This is because Musk has said that the new steering wheel will be very much spaceship-like. Apparently, the new steering wheel's prototype was revealed during Tesla party in San Jose, reports Electrek.
The new steering wheel is believed to have controls on each side and will be sleeker in design when compared to previous wheels. The Tesla Model 3 may also receive freshly-designed door handles and front fascia. The door handles could be given a curved shape, pressing which will expose the pulling side of the handle. The information about the new features in Tesla Model 3 has been gathered from prototypes shared by the company and hence these features will be modified in future when the car launches.
Many couldn't establish a link between the new steering wheel and the "spaceship-like" description by Musk when photos of the Model 3 were revealed. However, it is possible that the wheel shown in the photographs is just a placeholder and the company is in the process of developing the spaceship-like steering wheel. The Tesla Model 3 is expected to go on sale from 2017.
