He said that the approach adopted for remakes such as "Pokémon LeafGreen" and "Pokémon FireRed" may be used for future remakes.

On the contrary, the success of "Pokemon GO" may help in "Pokemon Sun and Moon" sales, writes Game Spot. This is because "Pokemon GO" has helped raise the awareness for the overall Pokemon brand.
The recent "Pokemon GO" update has added a daily catch bonus. Connections between "Pokemon GO" and "Pokemon Sun and Moon" have also been discussed but not yet revealed.
