During this time, players will be redirected to the login screen so that they can apply the hotfix. This is ahead of Iron Banner, which is set to arrive 30 minutes later at 10 a.m. Pacific.
"Destiny" gamers should also note that those who haven't gotten the surprise hotfix today will be logged out of their activities at 2 p.m. Pacific, 5 p.m. Eastern, and 10 p.m. GMT/UK. They will be forced to login to apply the surprise hotfix today.

"Destiny" community manager Cozmo took to Twitter to share that the surprise hotfix today will affect Silver Dust, a currency that gamers use to buy Ornaments for cosmetic purposes.
Gamers who apply the surprise hotfix today will notice that they will no longer be required to use Silver Dust in purchasing end-game armor such as the Trials of Osiris and Wrath of the Machine gear.
