Although Linnea Berthelsen's character is not from Hawkins, there are speculations that she might be telepathically connected to Eleven.

80's Icons Sean Astin And Paul Reiser To Join 'Stranger Things' Season 2
The first season of "Stranger Things" brought back 80's star Winona Ryder, but the show's return is set to bring in more actors who somehow changed the decade. "Goonies" actor Sean Astin is set to play Radioshack manager Ted Newby in "Stranger Things" Season 2. In addition to that, "Mad About You" star Paul Reiser will appear as Dr. Owens in the series.
