Cody Rhodes has all the potential of becoming big in the WWE but things suddenly changed when the gimmick he presented as a different Stardust failed to impress the fans. The son of legendary Dusty Rhodes then decided to quit WWE.
Cody Rhodes' wife, Brandi Rhodes, was also a familiar face in WWE. She was a ring announcer with screen name Eden Stills. When her husband left the ring, Brandi decided to call it quits as well.
While WWE is giving Cody Rhodes' dad an honor, the "Arrow" Season 5 villain feels disappointed not being a part of it. He said that it is sad that fans, and perhaps the people in WWE, have forgotten what he has done in the last 10 years and what he was before being a Stardust. Cody Rhodes and Brandi Rhodes have now joined TNA as wrestlers but fans are still skeptic about their success.
Cody Rhodes played the character of Derek Sampson in "Arrow" Season 5. Derek is a drug dealer whom the Green Arrow is forced to go against heat to head. The villain's character is causing havoc to Star City in the series which is named after his WWE persona Stardust.
Cody Rhodes admitted in an interview with Collider that he is a lifelong fan of comic books and superhero television shows. That is why it is important for him to be able to get the role of Derek Sampson in "Arrow" Season 5.
Getting the role as a villain was not an easy road. Cody Rhodes admitted reading several scripts for "Arrow" Season 5 until the producers and team had the confidence to give the character of Derek Sampson.
