Snake on a Plane Update! Just How Did the Reptile Landed in the Overhead Bin

If you're planning on booking a flight somewhere, making sure you did not sign up for a scary adventure. Apparently, the movie "Snakes on a Plane" proved to be true after a plane heading to Mexico experienced just that. According to reports, a snake, about 1 meter long creeped in from the overhead bin of an Aeromexico flight from Torreon.

According to The Fox News, Passengers immediately moved out of the way, despite the shock and fear they felt. Others, despite their fears were still able to take a video of the reptile. Carrier Aeromexico, Flight 231 who is about to journey a two-hour trip from Torreon, Coahuila, to Mexico City immediately sent a distress call and was given clearance for an emergency landing.

The carrier has since confirmed the incident and is currently doing an investigation on why there's a reptile in the overhead cabin. Passenger Indalecio Medina, who was currently reading a magazine at the time, saw the incident happen and took a short video of the snake wagging its tail before it dropped on the airplane's floor.

Fortunately, no passengers were harmed during the incident. Also, according to Medina, passengers were contained and remained calm during the situation. Besides the snake occupying a small space in the aircraft and subtly moving, There's not much the passengers can do, but to help secure the reptile.

Unfortunately as of reporting, the airline carrier has not made any official statement on how the snake was able to secure itself on the overhead cabin. In Mexico City, where airline made an emergency landing, authorities were able to secure it and avoid the snake from hurting the passengers. Prior to the authorities arriving in the scene, several passengers were able to secure the snake using blankets and magazines.
