First few signs of the iOS 10.2 are making their way into the wild. There are not much new things that were added, but there are still a number of updates worth knowing about. These include the three, new wallpapers, which were also used in Apple's commercial for both iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. Each of which features a black background as well as a floating orb at the center.
A new set of emojis has also been added to the iOS 10.2, which include a butterfly, owl, croissant, avocado, and a clown. Most of the older emojis were also redrawn in order to appear more modern. Apart from that, there's also a new Videos widget that shows the film or programme that you're watching. By simply tapping, you can quickly jump back into it without the need to open the app.
Camera-wise, the new iOS 10.2 also gives you the option to save your previous camera settings. This allows the user to stick with the same filter or jump straight into the square photo mode or even keep the Live Photos off.
There is really nothing major changes that were made but 'Bug Fixes' is also listed which is good news to those who get easily annoyed with some of the software's minor glitches. The iOS 10.2 is officially out now to those registered iOS developers through the Apple Beta Software Program.
Meanwhile, based on the report of International Business Times, the new software will be adding over 100 emojis. These include the ones that represent both genders' images of several, different professions. More so, the aforementioned wallpapers along with the new "celebrate" screen effect can also be added to an iMessage.
Furthermore, the iOS 10.2 will also bring better organization options for the music playlist. Apple Music playlist can now be sorted by date added, type, and title. It will also allow users to sort albums or tracks by title or artist. Watch video about iOS 10.2 Beta 1 - 15+ New Features Review!
