Transformers: The Ride 3D, a state of the art experience that offers fans a place right in the midst of the Transformers universe and the ongoing battles between the likes of Optimus Prime and Megatron, is ready to kick off in Florida.
The Florida version of Transformers: The Ride 3D is now set for a Thursday, June 20 opening at Universal Orlando Resort, according to IGN.
The Universal Orlando Resort is only the third location for the ride, after opening at Universal Singapore and Hollywood. Transformers: The Ride 3D slots in epic 3D movie footage alongside a moving vehicle, as well as other live effects, and also involves the rider getting into the Autobot vehicle – Evac – and trying to stop the Decepticons from possessing the AllSpark.
Fans will also be excited to know that all the popular Transformer characters such as Starscream, Megatron, Bumblebee and Optimus Prime are a part of this experience, with Frank Walken and Peter Cullen getting into their respective roles of Megatron and Optimus.
Moreover, as a part of the experience and the build-up to The Ride, Universal has also launched a “Join the Resistance” Facebook page. Here fans can create their own NEST IDs, prepare for battle, get access to never-before-seen photos and video and even win prizes – which, as expected, includes winning a trip to The Ride’s grand opening on June 20.
