Players of "Fallout 4," especially those on console, are still hopeful that the limited mod access granted to them by Sony will soon be given in full. Though the tech company has not yet released anything definite, it has announced that they are still trying their best.
The game, which is also expected to be available on the PS4 Pro, is set to have updates soon. Mods for "Fallout 4" and its availability on the PS4 are two things that Sony has currently been working on.
What does mods do?
Mods were introduced to allow players to make their own content. PC owners have full access to this but console owners do not have. "You will not be able to upload external assets with your PlayStation 4 mods, but you will be able to use any assets that come with the game, as most mods do," Bethesda earlier explained.
However, fans should not be easily disheartened by this as Bethesda is still hoping that console players of can access in full the mods for "Fallout 4." In a recent interview Pete Hines of Bethesda noted that they have long tried to make the PS4 experience similar to that of Xbox One and PC.
He, however, claimed that their ideas were not approved. Hines explained that the changes that will happen to the game for various consoles will not depend on him but claimed that they will push for uniform mods on all platforms.
'Fallout 4' Creation Kit
Players who would like to have mods for their PC, Xbox One or PlayStation 4 can simply get the "Fallout 4" Creation kit. The offering notes that the mods for PS4 will just be plugins and that archives will not be allowed.
Mods release dates
Bethesda released the "Fallout 4" mods for the Xbox One last May but those for the PS4 has been delayed since its scheduled release last June. The company has yet to give a definite date on when these mods will come for the PS4.
