Before the events of the original trilogy, an almost forgotten battle in the "Star Wars" universe took place. Ahead of its premiere next month, the newest installment, titled "Star Wars: Rogue One," just released a new TV ad, which shows Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones) being sent out on a perilous mission on behalf of the Rebel Alliance.
The new TV spot also features Captain Cassian Andor (Diego Luna), droid K-2SO (Alan Tudyk), and Bodhi Rook (Riz Ahmed). The team will be battling against the Stormtroopers, as shown in the newly released banners. Promotional posters for "Star Wars: Rogue One" depict scenes of the beaches of Scarif and the ominous Death Star is also not hard to miss.
"Star Wars: Rogue One" has been making quite some noise, with most fans saying that this year's "Star Wars" is going to be the first one to portray the war in its finest. Given the nature of the film's posters, it has become quite plausible that some of our beloved heroes will have to risk their lives.
Along with Felicity Jones, Forest Whitaker, Ben Mendelsohn, and Donnie Yen will play significant parts as well. Whether their plans involve for the good or bad of Death Star, we'll never know until "Star Wars: Rogue One" premieres next month.
Any "Star Wars" fan already has an inkling that "Star Wars: Rogue One" ends with the Rebel Alliance being "infiltrated" by the Death Star. What's unknown, however, is how the two factions managed to outsmart one another.
This year's "Star Wars: Rogue One" is a very important element in the world of "Star Wars," given its result will affect basically everything that happens afterward. On the other hand, "Star Wars Rebels," its counterpart in animated form already gave us hints that there are a lot more things to discover after the takeover of the Empire.
