Hitman Absolution, Malicious Now Free For PlayStation Plus Subscribers Outside North America

Here’s some good news for PlayStation Plus subscribers if your country codes are AE, AU, GB, IE or NZ (that's United Arab Emirates, Australia, Great Britain, Ireland or New Zealand). PlayStation Plus subscribers in those countries can now download the stealthy shooter Hitman Absolution and 3D action game Malicious for free this month according to the PlayStation Blog. It is unclear if the games will be free for North American subscribers at a later date. North Americans, on the other hand, get Zombie Tycoon II for free.

While both Absolution and Malicious are headline additions to the Plus’ lineup, the company is also offering the divisive puzzle game Catherine for free in select countries. Apart from that, PS Plus members can also enjoy a 20 per cent discount on Far Cry 3’s newest ’80s spin-off Blood Dragon, 50 per cent discount on Zen Pinball 2 and 10 per cent off on Hamilton's Great Adventure.

“Over on PS3, be sure not to miss Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon. Welcome to an ’80s VHS vision of the future. The year is 2007 and you are Sargent Rex Colt, a Mark IV Cyber Commando who’s fighting against a cyborg army gone rouge,” the official PlayStation Blog states. “Your mission: get the girl, kill the baddies, and save the world. PS Plus members take note, you can claim 20% off the asking price for two weeks.”

Additionally, PlayStation Vita owners can also get hold of Farming Simulator for $6.49/€7.99, and Amanita Design’s puzzler title Machinarium for £4.79/€5.99. Next on the list, arriving this Friday, is Keiji Inafune's immensely violent Soul Sacrifice set to launch for £29.99/€34.99.

It is to be noted that fans are also allowed to buy Blood Dragon alternatively with the main Far Cry 3 game in a bundle for £63.99/€79.99. All of the listed sales are only available in select countries. Check the PlayStation store to see if you are eligible.
