The OnePlus 4 handset is rumored to come packed with the Snapdragon 830 Soc upon launch mid year 2017. The upcoming processor is yet to be revealed but it is already expected for a couple of handsets as well. OnePlus 4 has also been noted to be comparable to the iPhone 7 as well.
While the OnePlus 4 predecessor was notably successful, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer is believed to be developing their flagship product for 2017 already. Leaked reports have claimed that the upcoming handset will sport a faster processor. The Weibo leak showed a timeframe for the next flagship product as well.
It should be noted that Qualcomm is yet to reveal the Snapdragon 830 chipset. However, Samsung has been noted to reveal its existence last month. Furthermore, the company also claimed that the Snapdragon 830 chipset will feature an octa-core setup, support 8GB RAM and 4K display resolutions. Apart from the OnePlus 4, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8 and the Microsoft Surface Phone are expected to pack the new processor as well.
On that note, OnePlus 4 is rumored to include 6GB RAM clocked at 3GHz. The device may run on Android 7.0 Nougat Oxygen OS with a 4,000mAh battery. For the holidays, OnePlus is slated to unveil the upgraded OnePlus 3T with Android 7.0 Nougat Oxygen OS and 16MP Sony IMX398 sensor for $479.
Meanwhile, the OnePlus 4 predecessor has been receiving the latest beta from the company. The Oxygen OS 3.5.5 Open Beta is reportedly available for download now. The beta is said to include a number of useful improvements like the File Dash feature, a WiFi transfer system for faster file transfers, NDTV reported.
The OnePlus 4 is expected to cost higher than the OnePlus 3 which sells at $399 from the company's online store. OnePlus 3 is powered by the Snapdragon 820 chip, 6GB RAM and 64 internal storage.
