During a recent Dead or Alive and SoulCalibur V tournament, Team Ninja announced that they have what looks like either a re-release or new version of Dead or Alive 5 is currently in the works.
Producer Yosuke Hayashi announced the game by showing a brief trailer featuring the back end of Ninja Gaiden's sword wielding female Momiji. There's always been a history of cross promotion between the two games, and the trailer is likely teasing the fact that Momiji will be featured in the next game in one way or another. Given Momiji and the Dead or Alive 5 screen at the close, and the timing (it's been almost a full year since DOA 5 was first released) it's likely an expansion, and not a new title. The game is expected to show up on PS3 and Xbox 360 later this year.
