'Pokemon GO' News & Udpates: Tracker Is Back In Selected US States

The long wait is over! "Pokemon Go' tracker is here again, however, it is only available in selected places. "Pokemon Go" tracker has been confirmed available again. However, the bad news is it is only available in San Francisco and other parts of the U.S.

According to TechCrunch, regions where "Pokemon Go" tracker is available is in San Francisco Bay Area, some parts of Arizona, and Seattle area of Washington. The source added that the tracker feature is up for work in Oakland.

In a previous report, "Pokemon Go" developer Niantic first rolled out the this feature in San Francisco three months ago. The tracker seemed to work well after the augmented-reality game launched. Later, on there were a series of complaints which caused Niantic to disable the feature.

The launch of "Pokemon Go" has gone from topping the iOS App Store. However, soon, it lost tremendous players due to the bugs and the removal of tracker mechanic and shutting down major third-party "Pokemon" tracking sites. As a matter of fact, aforementioned issues made many players mad.

A few months ago, Niantic explained why they made a few changes, including the removal of "Pokemon Go" tracker. The official Facebook page of "Pokemon Go" first explained why Niantic removed tracker mechanic. In a statement, the developer removed the tracker mechanic to "improve upon the underlying design."

It added that the original feature created confusions and did not meet the developers' "underlying product goals," Game Rant reported. Due to the series of reports from players including the glitches, the company decided to make some changes.

Niantic addressed another issue, which was the removal of the third-party "Pokemon" tracking sites. According to the developer, these tracking sites hindered Niantic's ability to maintain quality of service" to players, and these were the causes of issues.
