The International, Valve's annual Dota 2 tournament is returning for its third year, the company says. It will take place over five days in Seattle starting on August 7th, right before PAX Prime.
Details are scant so far. While, Invictus Gaming, last year's champions, are coming back, no other teams have been announced. There's also no word yet on how much the prize pool will be but last year Invictus Gaming won $1 million. Twelve more teams will be invited and a wild-card event right before the big tournament kicks off will decide the last team.
West Coast qualifiers will be held from May 13th through the 19th and be hosted by GDStudio. East Coast qualifiers will be May 20th through the 26th and hosted by BeyondTheSummit. In in even better news, the qualifiers will be free on DotaTV.
