Microsoft Surface Phone Apps: More Apps Expected From Windows Store To Compete With Android, iOS
The Microsoft Surface Phone will most likely showcase more apps from the Windows store, to compete with Android and iOS devices. Microsoft did not provide details about the Microsoft Surface Phone during its October press event, but tech fans remain optimistic that the company will feature the next generation to substitute its Lumia series.
The Lumia series did not fare too well after launch, due to the lack of proprietary apps and the presence of strong competitors. The Microsoft Surface Phone is expected to establish the company's position in the mobile market soon.
In March 2016, Terry Myerson, Executive Vice President of the Windows and Devices Group at Microsoft, stated that they are fully committed to the Microsoft Surface Phone, although mobile phones are not the company's focus this year. The Microsoft Surface Phone was initially scheduled to become available in 2016.
Microsoft is apparently making more adjustments to ensure that its latest smartphone will be powerful enough to compete with the best in the market today. More updates and details are expected soon.
