MacBook is slated to come packed with major improvements that is slated to hit the market in the second half of 2017. The device is rumored to feature the Intel Cannonlake chip, a hefty 32GB RAM and an OLED screen. On another note, MacBook products are going on sale in B&H for under $800.
The MacBook Pro 2016 with Touch ID sensor, Intel Skylake processor, 16GB RAM and OLED Touch Bar may not have lived up to long-time Apple fans' expectations, according to report. In lieu of this year's product, Apple is rumored to be developing a stronger device for next year, starting with the latest Intel Cannonlake chip. Recent news coming from Apple watcher Ming-chi Kuo claims that the MacBook Pro in 2017 will be the big jump fans have been waiting for, MacRumors reported.
The Intel Cannonlake processor is packed with LPDDR4 with up to 25 percent more power efficiency, Kuo added. The upcoming MacBook Pro is also rumored to support 32GB DRAM. However, the Cannonlake's predecessor, Coffee Lake is not yet expected until 2018.
The MacBook Pro will also switch to an OLED display in lieu of the LCD devices the Pro line used to have. OLED display is said to increase the device's brightness and improves color rendering as well as accelerates screen refresh rate. The OLED display is also rumored to be making its way to Apple's next flagship handsets, the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus.
Meanwhile, the authorized reseller of Apple products, B&H is rumored to offer its readers a $500 discount for the 12 inch MacBook 2015. The 1.1GHz, with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage and for the 1.2GHz variants will be priced at $799 while the 1.2GHZ with 8GB RAM and 512GB storage will cost only $1,099. B&H is also selling the 13 inch MacBook Pro 2016.
The MacBook discounts with the lowest price at $799 is said to be the lowest entry point for a brand new MacBook, Mac Price Guide reported. In addition, B&H will also forego sales tax for those outside New York. As a bonus, the AppleCare protection plan for the discounted new 12 inch MacBook will also receive a $20 discount.
