"Prison Break" Season 5 will reportedly be seeing the comeback of its original lead actors, Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell who play brothers in the TV series. Season 5 is said to fast forward seven years later. The teaser for the upcoming season also reveals Michael's son who he does not know him is asking about him, leading to speculations that a father-son reunion is in store.
It has been nearly a decade for the much-awaited revelation of the "Prison Break" Season 5. The last season left off with an incident that made Michael Scofield appear dead. Apparently, the actor confirmed that he is returning for the same role on the Fox smash series.
Moreover, other members of the original cast would also continue in "Prison Break" Season 5 including Sarah Wayne Callies who plays the prison physician and Scofield's wife Sara Tancredi. Also making a comeback are Robert Knepper as T-bag, the most notorious member of Fox River Eight and Scofield's cellmate Fernando Sucre played by Amaury Nolasco. As mentioned, Lincoln Burrows will still be played by Purcell.
"Prison Break" Season 5 is slated to run for nine episodes. The original writer of the Series Paul Schure wrote all of them. Scofield is said to be stuck in a Yemeni prison post working with an ISIS-style terrorist group, The Sun UK reported.
Meanwhile, it is said that Dr. Sara's visit to Michael's grave with his son was all just a set up. Michael's life is now said to be put at a greater risk with his association with the ISIS-related group which does not tolerate its members to quit. However, Burrows is rumored to come to his rescue but not without putting himself in danger as well.
"Prison Break" Season 5 is rumored to air on Fox not later than April 2017. Currently, both lead actors are part of The CW TV series "Legends of Tomorrow" Season 2.
