Saints Row IV is appealing to the bald eagle crying tears of sweet freedom in all of us, even the Canadians. Developer Deep Silver announced the Commander in Chief Edition for the latest edition of their sandbox game, Saints Row IV.
This edition offers up patriotic apparel for the Third Street Saints who've gone from the streets to the leaders of the free world, ready to use their new super hero powers to save the states from an alien invasion.
Included in the free upgrade (for pre-orders) is a Screaming Eagle that fires rockets out of its talons, and a "Sonic Scream" attack, leaving enemies dazed and confused. Someone queue up Guile's theme, because that's about as American as McDonald's apple pie.
A press release clued us in to the rest of the additions, including a limited-edition Uncle Sam uniform for the Saint who wants to be dapper, and the Merica stimulus package, "full of incredibly astonishing firepower: flamethrowers, ultra-powered dub step guns and rocket launchers are yours for the taking. Crown thy good with brotherhood, indeed.
The Commander in Chief Edition is priced at $59.99 (console) and $49.99 (PC), and will be available globally. Saints Row IV launches August 20th, 2013 in the US, and August 23rd worldwide.
