It's just a few months before "Homeland" Season 6 comes back to regular programming on Showtime. People behind the show are asking fans to vote for the drama series to be one of the nominees for the People's Choice Awards' Favorite Drama Series.
In a post on its official Facebook page, Homeland encouraged its fans to nominate "Homeland" in the said category. The TV show will be going up against other potential nominees like "The Affair," "House of Cards," "Orange is the New Black" and "The Get Down."
Air date for Season 6
Set to air this coming Jan. 15, 2017, "Homeland" Season 6 hopes to give fans a well-researched and properly planned episodes. Actor Mandy Patinkin and creators of the show Howard Gordon and Alex Gansa said they put in a lot of effort to research on every episode of the show.
They noted that the team even went to Washington, D.C. prior to "Homeland" Season 1 premiere five years ago. "A lot of intelligence officers give us grief on how much we get wrong, but they are very kind when they say we get the spirit of these people correct," Gansa explained.
New York setting
Earlier, Showtime president David Nevins revealed during the press tour of the Television Critics Association that some parts of "Homeland" Season 6 will be shot in New York. He also ended speculations that the show will end soon noting that team still has a lot of plans for the drama series.
The teaser trailer for "Homeland" Season 6 highlighted mostly video clips from Season 5 but also gave an overview of the New York City setting of the upcoming season. No new information was given to the fans and viewers of the show but the teaser already provided the viewers something they can expect next year.
