Recently, Microsoft's Mike Ybarra announced today that the Xbox One S will have an added feature in their gaming console. The Xbox One S features a BD-R and BD-RE disc support for the Xbox One S, which can be burned or written on the same capabilities as a DVD-R and a DVD-RE.
Xbox One S Features
According to Forbes, Microsoft's Windows 10 event yesterday revealed that the Xbox One S features an Ultra Blu-Ray drive and a premium Dolby Atmos format. However, the lack of a support for the Dolby Atmos feature for the Xbox One S is one of a few setbacks from the gaming console.
Microsoft promised that the problem at hand will be dealt with, starting from removing a standalone expensive UHD BD player. Meanwhile, lead engineer of the Xbox One S, Mike Ybarra also revealed that the Dolby Atmos support will be available for games as well.
In official YouTube video from The Verge, the Xbox One S is more lightweight and 40% smaller than the older Xbox model. The video states that Xbox One S has scraps of everything the gamers hated from the old Xbox One gaming console and replaces it with a 4K Blu-Ray player.
The Xbox One S controller is basically white and now supports Bluetooth that has a longer range, which is easier to pair with a PC if gamers want to use and also has a 3.5mm headphone jack. Xbox One S features 4K video streaming, 4K Blu-Rays, and High Dynamic Range 10 or HDR.
However, the Xbox One S doesn't support 4K games and is a little bit powerful than the original Xbox One. 4K game support will be available next year for the next Xbox gaming console or will be available for the Xbox Scorpio.
