Fans can expect to be blown away once "Doctor Strange" hits theaters on Friday. In addition to diving into the mystical realm, the film is set to connect the Marvel Cinematic Universe with Hulu's upcoming TV series based on the "Runaways" comic book series.
Remember how the comic book pre-empting "Doctor Strange" actually featured Nico Minoru's mother Tina Minoru as Kaecilius' ally in tracking down the Eye of Agamotto? It looks like the "Runaways" character actually appears in the film as one of the awesome Easter eggs and Nico herself could also debut in MCU soon.
'Runaways' Character Tina Minoru Makes An Awesome Secret Appearance In 'Doctor Strange'
Tina Minoru may not be the most popular Marvel comic book character but her appearance in "Doctor Strange" is still one will get "Runaways" fans excited for the future. Nico Minoru's mother actually shows up in the MCU flick with nothing less than the Staff of One (via ComicBook).

Unlike Daniel Drumm, who is actually addressed by Kaecilius in the film, Tina Minoru's name is not mentioned in "Doctor Strange". However, the "Runaways" character is listed in the cast as being played by Linda Louise Duan.
But did this brief "Doctor Strange" teaser confirm a possible connection between the MCU flick and Hulu's upcoming "Runaways" TV series? Is Nico Minoru set for an MCU debut?

Nico Minoru is more than just the leader of the Runaways and the most obvious lead in Hulu's highly anticipated Marvel show. Fans are also hoping that the powerful mage will end up becoming a part of MCU in on of the future movies.
With Tina Minoru's little appearance in Benedict Cumberbatch's film, there is a huge possibility that Nico will soon be making her MCU debut. "Doctor Strange" premieres on November 4.
