PlayStation Vita owners could be getting some good news. A listing via a Chilean online retailer shows that a new Call of Duty game is coming to the Vita later this year.
The listed game is simply labeled as Call Of Duty 2013. Whether this is the final title or a placeholder remains unclear. This could be a spin-off as the previous Vita game was or a portable version of the next Call of Duty game which is expected to release later this year on consoles and PC.
It is also unclear if Nihilistic Software, the developer of the previous version, is behind the new game. Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified, was savaged by critics although the game did sell decently enough in the U.S. (because it was bundled along with the PlayStation Vita).
Given the popularity of the franchise on consoles and PC, Activision, the publisher, is unlikely to give up on bringing the series to handhelds.
