CD Projekt's role-playing video game "Cyberpunk 2077" may be released two years from now, recent information from the game developer revealed. This will give the team ample time to prepare and wow gamers with this upcoming title.
Two titles
Earlier, CD Projekt said they plan to have two game releases from 2016 to 2021 and that "Cyberpunk 2077" will be the first one to come out in stores. The second title will start production immediately after Cyberpunk is released.
Basing from the timeline given by CD Projekt, fans are expecting that "Cyberpunk 2077" is already in the middle of its development stage. On the other hand, the second unannounced game could likely begin development around mid-2018, just after "Cyberpunk 2077" is released.
No third-party games
As for making third-party games, CD Projekt was clear that they have no plans of doing so. "Our reputation, as a company that self-publishes its own games, is closely tied to the quality of our titles, that we can only vouch for when we're the ones who produce them," the game developer explained.
Despite its refusal to develop third-party games, the creator of "Cyberpunk 2077" claimed that they aim to make great games which can be appreciated by players around the world. It also expressed its plan to expand their brand and try other products.
Game features and highlights
When released, the game promises a seamless multiplayer mode where "Cyberpunk 2077" players can search the opponents they want to fight, copy objects and even manage they game sessions they are playing. Apart from this, the Polish developer of the game could also explore other alternatives of similar open-world games.
Unlike "The Witcher 3's" kingdoms and battlefields, "Cyberpunk 2077" is thought to happen in the universe of "Cyberpunk 2020" which was released in 1990. Are you excited for the release of the RPG?
