The Huawei Mate 9 is slated to launch at the company's event on Nov. 3. Recently, a number of leaked reports and images have unveiled the specs and rumored price of the upcoming device. The event is also believed to set the stage for a Pro Model with a curved dual-edge display.
Huawei is expected to announce its latest model, the Huawei Mate 9 on Thursday, GSMArena reported. The event will be held in China. On that note, the company also released a teaser poster on its official Weibo page.
The Huawei Mate 9 is speculated to feature the company's latest Kirin 960 CPU along with a premium curved-screen design. Leaked images revealed that the 5.9 inch handset would feature a flat screen with a 1,080p resolution. On the other hand, the premium model, Huawei Mate 9 Pro, is believed to go up to QHD.
In addition, the Huawei Mate 9 is also believed to sport a dual camera at the back including a 20MP shooter and another 12MP camera believed to feature optical zoom. Furthermore, the Huawei Mate 9 is believed to run on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat and Smart Power 5.0 or a similar technology for faster charging. The device allegedly comes in two variants- a 4GB and 6GB RAM handsets with 64GB, 128GB or 256GB internal storage options, according to report.
Meanwhile, the Mate 9 Pro is rumored to come with 4x Optical Zoom Leica Lens. If true, Mate 9 Pro will cost $1,300. The Mate 9 Pro codenamed Long Island is expected to have advance specs than the Huawei Mate 9 codenamed Manhattan, rumored to come in a purple shade.
The Huawei Mate 9 will reportedly sport a flat screen while Mate 9 Pro will sport a curved screen. Both phones allegedly feature a 5.9 inch screen with full HD resolution with 1,920x1,080 pixels on Mate 9 and quad HD resolution with 2,560x1,440 pixels on Mate 9 Pro.
