The iPad Pro 2 is set to hit the market in 2017. Simultaneously, Microsoft is also expected to launch the Surface Pro 5 the same year. Apple's product is slated to roll out with more screen versions while Microsoft's product is slated to include a rechargeable Surface Pen.
Recent reports reveal that the iPad Pro's competitor, Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will run on the Intel Kaby Lake processor. It should be noted that the said processor will be the fastest processor by Intel. The device is also slated to roll out with multiple RAM variants starting at 8GB RAM and a high-end version with AMD/NVIDIA GPU and 16GB RAM.
On the other hand, the Apple iPad Pro 2 will run on the A10X processor. Note that the chipset is said to make the device 80 percent more reliable and powerful than all the other devices in the segment. The device is slated to roll out with as low as a 4GB RAM variant, MacWorld reported.
The Surface Pro 5 is also rumored to feature a 12.3 inch Pixel Sense display with 4K Screen Resolution and 2K as well. The device will run on the RedStone OS and include an 8MP front and 16MP rear camera. The iPad Pro 2, on the other hand will roll out in 10.5-inch, 9.7-inch and 12.9-inch versions with the latest iOS 10, 4K video recording, 5MP front and 12MP rear camera with true tone flash. Both products are slated to be priced from $799 to $899.
Meanwhile, the iPad Pro 2 is rumored to release on March 2017. Moreover, leaked images allegedly reveal a slimmer design and as expected, no headphone jacks that begun in products like the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. Additionally, the device is expected to boast slimmer and lighter designs, according to report.
The iPad Pro 2 is also rumored to launch with a newer iOS possibly the iOS 11. The new 10.5 inch screen version was previously predicted by analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.
