Microsoft has unveiled the all new Surface Book i7 with a starting price of $2,399. There's also a 28-inch All-In-One device with a price starting at $3,000.
The latest Microsoft Surface Book will boast twice the graphics performance of the previous model and a much longer battery life. It is also powered by an Intel Skylake chip. Other highlights of the system include the two-in-one design, PixelSense touch screen, and custom hinge.
Microsoft also guaranteed that the device will last up to 16 hours, which is indeed an achievement for a laptop. THe Microsoft Surface Book i7 is somewhat similar with its predecessor. However, according to Extremetech, Microsoft has included a second cooling fan, which could also help in boosting the device's performance.
The AIO Microsoft Surface Studio, on the other hand, is equipped with a screen that offers 4,500×3,000 pixels in a 3:2 aspect ratio with 13.5MP, which is way better than the average 4K monitors. The system display, however, is only 12.5 mm thick, according to report.
Alongside the Microsoft Surface Studio, Microsoft is also shipping a brand new hardware peripheral, called the Microsoft Surface Dial. It can be used as a forward and back tool to step through a drawing. Apart from that, users can also apply filter, change colors, as well as adjust the other aspects of an image using the peripheral.
Meanwhile, the Microsoft Surface Book i7 focused on pure power. The name itself simply implies that the device is powered by a Core i7 processor. Therefore, Microsoft fans should expect not only a much better graphics performance but also a redesigned thermals that allow a much speedier GeForce GTX 965M video.
