Marvel Cinematic Universe is making its way on the small screen, thanks to Netflix. As another Marvel Comics will be brought to life on TV, the publishing giant recently announced the coming of an array of superheroes in "The Defenders."
In the official Twitter account of the upcoming TV series, it revealed that other friends are coming in "The Defenders." "Assemble your allies: #EldenHenson, @AnnapurnaLiving and @ekadarville are back for The #Defenders," it said.
The page announced the coming of Elden Henson to reprise her role in "Daredevil" as Foggy Nelson. Also, Carrie-Anne Moss is set to appear as her character Jeri Hogarth from "Jessica Jones" and "Daredevil" Season 2, according to IGN.
Eka Danville, too, will be seen as Malcolm Ducasse from "Jessica Jones" to "The Defenders." Aside from that, the much-awaited stint of Jon Bernthal as "The Punisher" might also appear.
It was first announced that Karen Page and Misty Knight is set to star the coming "The Defenders." Hence, with all these characters, the coming TV series is now highly anticipated.
ScreenRant reported that Netflix set its high hopes with "The Defenders" to be warmly welcomed by its subscribers. The main characters of the show are all well-known and loved by fans, so it won't have a hard time promote the said program.
Also, with a lot of crossovers happening in Marvel Cinematic Universe on TV, fans will surely enjoy the big treat. Viewers who are not familiar with the comic book, but want to know how the story goes, will sure wonder how these superheroes' lives are intertwined and work with each other in "The Defenders."
In "The Defenders," all these titular characters will join forces to defeat their biggest villain that will be played by Sigourney Weaver. However, her role and other details about her character are not yet revealed.
But, knowing Netflix, Sigourney Weaver will surely be the next antagonist you will be mad of. The streaming service has not announced the exact release date of "The Defenders," but its production is now underway and expected to be out in 2017.
