The upcoming "Tokyo Ghoul: re" Chapter 100 promises to once again introduce the necessary tension back into the anime series' plot. And by the looks of it, it could come from multiple directions, some from among the ghouls themselves while others may come from outside their group.
'Tokyo Ghoul: re" Chapter 99 Recap
As previously reported by GamenGuide, "Tokyo Ghoul: re" Chapter 99 started another arc for the manga series. In fact, there was a time jump introduced setting the recent chapter around a month after the tumultuous events of the recent past. While the events last chapter is a bit slow as to be expected in between story arcs, the upcoming "Tokyo Ghoul: re" Chapter 100 is expected to pick up the pace.
Upon waking up a month later, Kaneki went about his business as usual, having coffee and meeting up old friends. Touka, Mr Yomo, Koma, Irimi and Nishio are all there to greet him. Eventually the group gathered inside the facility where events could point to a possible tension in the coming "Tokyo Ghoul: re" Chapter 100.
A Faction Opposing Kaneki In "Tokyo Ghoul: re" Chapter 100?
To some of the ghouls gathered inside the facility, Kaneki was a disappointment. Apparently, not all of them are open to Kaneki's ideal of ghouls peacefully coexisting with humans. In fact, there are those who disdainfully call him human-loving, a view that does not bode well in the coming "Tokyo Ghoul: re" Chapter 100.
Nevertheless, it appears that majority of the ghouls want to cooperate with Kaneki. They see him as the strongest ghoul being the one who killed Kishou Arima and therefore, fit to be their leader the One Eyed King. In addition, there is also the presence of the ghouls that Kaneki led from Cochlea whose loyalty is now with him. It is interesting to see if the Kaneki-opposing faction will be able to generate enough following to pose as credible threat in the coming "Tokyo Ghoul: re" Chapter 100.
New Enemies To Be Revealed In "Tokyo Ghoul: re" Chapter 100?
But Kaneki has other things to worry as well. In fact, new enemies might be already introduced when "Tokyo Ghoul: re" Chapter 100 release date comes.
In the previous chapters, it was speculated that the new enemies for this arc will be the new Washuu King. It was seen that Furuta seized power by killing his father effectively controlling both V and the Clowns. It is highly likely that his activities will be revealed in the coming "Tokyo Ghoul: re" Chapter 100 or later chapters as the two are bound to eventually clash.
In addition, there is that highly anticipated response from CCG. It was revealed that Kaneki was in hiding from the CCG but the department is bound to know his whereabouts sooner or later. Will "Tokyo Ghoul: re" Chapter 100 finally reveal the next move from CCG?
