FastPokeMap developers previously batted that there is nothing illegal about using their third-party app tracker though that didn’t necessarily mean that Niantic was fine with it. Regardless it seems that the “Pokemon Go” aid has become useless despite promise from the developers that it will be up again soon.
That hunt for “Pokemon Go” spawns has been a cause for concern by most, seeing that the built-in tracker has not been much of a help. Sightings may be shown but the direction where AR gamers should go has made it futile.
FastPokeMap intended to direct gamers to the spawn locations, something they claimed was legal for “Pokemon Go” as stated in a previous post. Unfortunately, stability issues have befuddled gamers, meaning most will have to look for another real-time tracker – that is if there one working and not against the terms of service of Niantic.
That said, the race is on for app developers to come up with a reliable real-time tracker for “Pokemon Go” – legal and illegal. The task at hand may seem daunting and some folks over at Reddit believe that it will come to a point where no more third-party tracker apps will be available.
With Niantic ramping up efforts with game bans or account suspensions, the effort to build third party apps holds an air of uncertainty. While there will be some “Pokemon Go” players who will still likely try to use them, looking at it long-term isn’t so bright.
If this is indeed the case, it will be interesting how “Pokemon Go” players will react to the setback. Niantic has hardly lifted a finger in releasing a reliable tracker in-game and picking on third party apps gives the game a questionable future.
As most know, Niantic is trying to lure back players to play “Pokemon Go” but their stiff terms have forced most to just drop playing the game as a whole.
